Day 21 - Artemis Station to Normanton

 (Kate)

Day 21 - another driving day. Artemis Station to Normanton. 485km. We set an alarm for 7am and were driving out the gate at 9.20am. Packing up camp is a full-body workout for all of us, and takes 1.5 hours. I'm beginning to think that I didn't need to bring those dumbbells and workout mat after all. We almost didn't get across the Mitchell River causeway because there was dredging going on, but we did get across. I am calling this God's grace for sure, as the detour would have added 200km, and it would have been very tight on fuel.

We camped at the Gulfland Motel and Caravan Park at Normanton which was fab.

Today we saw lots of brolgas, wallabies, goannas and cattle.

There were lots of quirky memes in the amenities at the Caravan park, mostly about retirement or marriage.
