Day 65 –Gnylmarung rest day
We relaxed about camp, recreating, hosing ourselves down when it got too hot, and swimming on the low-croc-risk beach.
Ben and Keith went fishing in the afternoon. We prepared bol sauce for dinner, then left the billy in the car to protect it from seagulls and from free-ranging dogs. We packed some snacks and drinks, and did a family walk around to the next point to the north, because that section of the coast faces west, and it’s possible to watch the sun go down over the Indian Ocean, and see a cool phenomenon where the waves appear to be forming a staircase to the setting sun. Ben and Keith fished off the rocks. We noticed some smoke from some land-management fires east of Gnylmarung and it looked quite substantial. I was glad we weren’t out driving today.
