Day 66 - Gnylmarung - Day trip to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm

Day 66 – Gnylmarung – Day trip to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm

It took us 40minutes to get out to the main road, then 1.5 hours to get to Cygnet Bay, which had a variety of tours on offer around their pearl farm.  We chose a 1 hour land-based tour, and it was super-interesting, learning how cultured pearls are farmed, and learning about natural pearls (Keshi – 1/10,000 oyster shells have these apparently).

We drove up to Kooljaman afterwards, hoping to book into a tour tomorrow, but the next available tour wasn’t until Wednesday, when we’ll be going back to Broome to get the air-con fixed.  Never mind, we’ll put that one on the retirement list :)  By the time we got back to camp again it was quick swim, dinner prep and bed.
